Sirius, bekannt z.B. durch seine Splinter Cell Modding Tutorials, hat sich jetzt mal drangemacht die XIII Demo, d.h. das Menüs einschließlich Untermenüs und Options-Bereiche und das 2. Level, zu übersetzem.

Ein neuer Trailer zu XIII wurde veröffentlicht. Das Video heißt The Death Sentence (Die Todesstrafe)[/i], ist gerade 5MB groß und hat eine Spieldauer von knapp eineinhalb Minuten. Achtung, der Quicktime-Player wird zum Abspielen benötigt. Viel Spass damit!

Chuck Landry von Gaming Horizon hatte die Gelegenheit XIII auf der CPL in Dalls zu zocken und gibt nun seine Erfahrungen preis:quote:
...The impact of a rocket launcher results in not only a loud noise, but giant block letters spelling "KABOOM". When you execute a guard with a dart from your crossbow, you?re treated with 3 comic book layout panels across the top of the screen with close ups of the man?s death, that pop up automatically like an instant replay. Meanwhile, the word (?) "ARRGH" comes streaming out of the victim?s mouth. Very cool, indeed... |

Die Demo sollte eigentlich erst ende August erscheinen, allerdings hat Ubi Soft sich dazu entschlossen die Demo jetzt schon Anzubieten. Das gute Stück wiegt 80Mb, hat zwei Levels und macht einen Heidenspass.

Nachdem letzten Monat bereits eine französische (640x480 only) Demo im Netz aufgetaucht ist, kommt, laut einem Preview auf GameSpy.com, noch Mitte diesen Monats eine offizielle englische SinglePlayer-Demo! Nach ein paar Wochen folgt außerdem eine MultiPlayer-Demo.

Auf einer französichen Seite ist eine 2-Level-Demo des Comic Shooter XIII aufgetaucht. Allerdings hat die Sache ein paar kleine Haken: Man kann nur in 640x480 spielen, die Demo ist Französich (genau wie die Seite) und man braucht den "Metaboli-Player". Um es den deutschen Nutzern einfacher zu machen gibt es auf planetxiii.de einen Guide, wie man an die Demo Kommt. Viel Spass beim Antesten!

Laut PCAction.de hat UbiSoft nun genaue Daten zum Release von XIII bekanntgegeben. Demnach wird das Spiel am 30. Oktober für 45,95 Euro in die Läden kommen.

Computer and Video Games hat ein Interview mit Jean Zappavigna (Game Designer) geführt. Neben XIII ging es auch um Game Design. Zudem gibt es auch noch einige exclusiv Shots.
