Wieder gibts ein Interview zu Lineage II.
Diesmal wurde Raoul Kim, seines Zeichens leitender Designer, von HomeLan interviewed.quote:
HomeLAN - How "big" will the game universe be and what sorts of locations and settings will Lineage II have?
Raoul KimUntil now, Lineage II has been played on only one continent. Later on through a large scale update, the plan is to create many other continents. The actual area of each continent will be about the size of Seoul in scale. The continents will have distinct weather conditions to reflect weather patterns in different parts of the world. |

Diesmal hatte Telefragged.com die Ehre, ein wenig mit Andy Dombroski, einem der Entwickler von Ultima X: Odyssey, zu plaudern.
Unter anderem ging es um folgendes Thema:quote:
Finger: Tell us about the most recent areas you've been working on.
Andy Dombroski: I am currently working on the Phoda Town and a dungeon called Bane Thicket. So some modeling, some level design and prototyping. I have also been working on creature lists and getting our new team assets up to speed. |

Wie angekündigt gibt es nun eine abgespeckte ältere Version der Unreal-Engine zum Downloaden. Verwendet werden darf sie nur für nicht kommerzielle Zwecke! Normalerweise gibt es die neueste Unreal-Egine ab 350.000 US-Dollar.

Noch eine gute Neuigkeit zur Unreal Engine. Denn am 8./9.11. 2003 veranstaltet Epic einen Unreal Engine Einführungskurs. Allerdings findet dieser Kurs in North Carolina statt. Kostet aber nur $25, inklusive Verpflegung und T-Shirt.

Computer&Videogames haben sich in ihrem auktuellen Preview Tribes III: Vengeance einmal etwas genauer angeschaut:quote:

So, in one mission you could be playing a second-class citizen, a Phoenix Tribesman, fighting for your life in a bad-ass suit of heavy armour, while in the next you could be seeing through the eyes of a six-year-old imperial princess. "She's being chased by these bad guys," continues Levine as he excitedly reaches for a spoon. "She hasn't got any guns or armour, and at one point she gets a jetpack. Seeing as she's so small, and she's got a rocket strapped to her back, the physics are way overpowered for her. It's quite a ride!" What's even stranger is that the non-linear timeline means that a few levels earlier you will have played as this same character when she is around 20 years older. It's bizarre, we know, but it looks like it's going to work.

Während man hier noch sehnsüchtig auf den Release vom MMORPG Lineage 2: The Chaotic Chronicle wartet, gibt es in Korea in der ersten Woche nach der Veröffentlichung bereits die ersten 130000 Anmeldungen! Hut ab, bleibt abzuwarten ob das Spiel auch hier so einen erfolgreichen Start hinlegen kann.
