Ihr seid auf der Such nach einer guten Map? Alle Maps die die Aufnahme in Cliffy B's Ownage schaffen sind immer einen Download wert. Jetzt hat es dorthin auch DM-Aristocracy von Paul Mader geschafft.
Zusätzlich gibt es auf GameSpy.com ein Interview mit Cliffy B.

Sengende Hitze und einige Probleme mit dem Code führten zur Verspätung, der schon für Sonntag angekündigten aktuellen Alpha 4 der Lost Species Mod. Nun jedoch gibt es endlich wieder Nachschub an Screenshots. Zwei neue Maps haben ihren Weg in die Alpha geschafft, darunter ?OP-Wreck?, die es auf den Bildern zu sehen gibt. Auch ein erstes Benturi player model gibt es "im Spiel" zu sehen, weitere folgen bald.

Zum Mod Zombie Hunter gab es bei uns auch schon länger keine News mehr. Allerdings war man dort inzwischen fleissig und hat u.a. einige Renderpics veröffentlicht.

Die beliebte Mod ist nun in der Version 2.3 erhältlich:

HEGI - Faceoff already existed for the quake 3 engine and I simply wanted to do something for UT2003 to be up to date with the technology. The idea for the name came up when I started modding for quake 3 and I did a small bullet-time mod which was only working in singleplayer, but the name of the mod has never changed since then. |

Von der Mod Pain2k3 ist nun die neues Version a6 erschienen:
quote: Number of mines you can have out at once has been limited.
Mines are neutralized when their owner dies.
New mine neutralizer.
Projectiles can blow up mines (used to be only instant hit weapons could).
Railgun thermal scope heat detection is much better looking thanks to some vital information provided by Kangus.
Team mates are now black and outlined in teal on the thermal scope.
EGun now does 15 instead of 30 damage.
EGun has a completely new secondary fire.
EGun no longer actively seeks team mates.
Nuker's been totally revamped (see description above for new cloaking instructions).
Pain2K3 mutators are now in the format of "Pain2K3: Mutator Name" so they'll be easy to find in the mutator list.
Noggin Goblins mutator added.
Spontaneous Combustion mutator added.
D12a primary accuracy decreases more slowly and is reset after a briefer pause.
Bot desirability and default priority of weapons tweaked a bit.
Railgun now treated as a super weapon (always has to respawn, longer respawn time).
Nuker no longer treated as a super weapon.
New weapons added:
-Drugger
-Shoulder Cannon
First Pain2K3 powerups added:
-psycho-kinetic powers
-cybernetic legs
-foot-mounted rockets
A few other minor changes. |

Die Jungs von der Stargate - Mod für UT2k3 haben nun erste Infos über die bald kommende Beta 1 veröffentlicht: Enthalten sein werden 6 Maps, 2 davon Solokampagnen die auf Abydos und in der Festung des Baal spielen werden.

Zum 2.ten Geburtstag gibt es bei Unreal Ops ein Interview mit Tim Sweeney (seineszeichens Vater der "Unreal Engine":

All of the current games will look pretty silly in a few years with the next generation. But as an overall artistic direction, I actually prefer the "over-enhanced reality" style of the original Unreal Tournament to the more conventional realism of UT2003. When it comes to lighting hue, contrast, shadows, and settings, some tasteful exaggeration works well, especially in a sci fi / fantasy setting. |

Raven vom UnrealOps Team hat sich Platinum vom Mod Heavy Gear Forever geschnappt und ihn ausgequetscht

Those are the folks that invented the Heavy Gear table top RPG and tacticle game. From there they sold the right to Activision who produced Heavy Gear I & II. I should mention that niether of those games come close to what HG is truly
meant to be. But it did satisfy people for a few yrs. After HG I & II communities died. I wanted to make a mod based on HG.. So I started a simple forum at my teams website (www.cobalt-7-corp.net) Didn't take long before Fury found the forum, and we spent about a year just chatting about it. Thats the short version of it anyway..hehe |

Die Seite zu BadKarma's neuster Entwicklung: Bounty Hunter (Prämienjäger) wurde nun ins Netz gestellt.
Spielprinzip: 2 Teams, für die es gilt vorgegebene Ziele zu erreichen. Langweilig, gibts ja alles schon? Ja bis hierhin schon, doch nun kommen die Prämienjäger ins Spiel, deren Ziel ist es die Teams daran zu hindern...
Weiterhin suchen sie noch tatkräftige Unterstützung in den Bereichen: Coder, Waffen/Player Modeller, Texture Artist.
