Laser InstaGib BetaWie auch schon für UT, gibt es nun auch für UT2003 einen Laser InstaGib Mutator. Features diese Beta Version siehe SHOW MORE.

Damage Mode
-- Instagib: Single-shot kills everybody knows and loves (or hates).
-- Laser: Same beam, but instead of a single pulse of instagib damage it does multiple pulses of small damage very fast. It is hard to explain so you will have to see it yourself.

Collision Mode
-- Pass-Thru: Beams pass through players and are only stopped by walls or maximum range.
-- Team Push: Beams pass through enemies but are stopped by teammates.
-- Push: Beams are stopped by all players.

Ammo Mode
-- Unlimited: Obvious enough, you never run out of ammo.
-- Recharging: You regain 2 ammo every 5 seconds.
-- Pickup: There are ammo pickups in the map that restore 5 ammo.

Shield Bounce
-- If true and you have at least 50 ammo left in the shieldgun, you can bounce a laser off the shield it creates.

Team Colors
-- If true the colors of your beam are adjust to match your teamcolor during teamgames. The Color Tolerance setting adjusts how close your color must match the team color.

There is also a new feature of the beam called the Wiggly beam. It is extremely difficult to explain but it is somewhat similar to the effect of the lightning gun. There is still the primary beam and beam glow, but the wiggly beams move around and have a wavey motion. I will post some screenshots soon.

Of course the most important thing is that it works online!

At least I think it does... I have done as much online testing that I can do by myself. So far I haven't found any problems. Currently all that needs to be done is a little more online testing on a true dedicated server with several real players. This should be happening over the next day or two. Provided we do not find any major bugs I will release the current version to the public. If we do find any major bugs than obviously I will have to fix them first. Still, things are looking good at the moment and I don't expect for there to be any long delay so you guys should be able to play this in a few days.

I'll have more info, some screenshots, as well as beta server listings in a few days. In the meantime if anyone has any servers and they are willing to run the beta please mail me at lig@unrealdev.net.
