Kommenden Freitag wird eine Beta-Version des Community Bonus Packs für Unreal 2: XMP der breiten Öffentlichkeit zum Download zur Verfügung gestellt.
Das Pack enthält viele neue (aber nicht alle  ) hochkarätige Maps und Mutators (Liste unter <show more> ).
Alle XMP'ler sind dann dazu eingeladen ihre Meinungen und Verbesserungsvorschläge kund zutun, damit das Community Bonus Pack den Anforderungen der XMP-FanGemeinde gerecht wird.

Für die, nur in den Staaten erhältliche, Unreal 2 Special Edition (bei der XMP mit dabei ist), ist bei GameSpot.com ein Review veröffentlicht worden. Insgesamt gabs gute 7.9 von 10 Punkten.quote:

Kürzlich erhielt ich von Michael mr_mix Marker eine eMail in der er mir den Release seines Fanmovies für Unreal 2: XMP mitteilte:quote:
In dem 45MB großem und fast 6 Minuten langem Video gibt es nicht nur für Unreal 2: XMP Fans einiges zu sehen und dürfte so auch Unreal Fans Allgemein ansprechen. Gezeigt werden einige Stunts mit dem Buggy, sowie auch die selbstentdeckten ?Mine Jumps? und einige Fun Szenen.

| Neuer XMP-Patch angekommen!

Wie angekündigt ist nun ein neuer Patch (und auch ein Dedicated Server Pack) für Unreal 2: XMP veröffentlicht worden. Der Patch mit der Versionsnummer 7710 entlastet Server, behebt Probleme und fügt einige neue Extras hinzu.

Trotz der Schließung von Legend Entertainment wird noch ein letzter offizieller Patch zusammen mit dem XMP Community Bonus Pack veröffentlicht.
Hoffen wir, dass sich ATARI Unreal 2 und XMP trotzdem auch weiterhin etwas widmet.

Beim Online Game of the Year Award - Poll von Jolt.co.uk, von dem wir kürzlich berichteten, ging Unreal 2: Extended MultiPlayer als Sieger hervor. quote:

Zum Unreal 2: Extended Multiplayer Community Bonus Pack (oder kurz U2:XMP CBP  ) gibts ne Menge neuer Infos:
Die Page wurde redesigned, es gibt neue Screenshots, die Anzahl der Maps wurde von ehemals 4-5 auf 7-8 aufgestockt. Das fertige Pack wird außerdem neue Mutatoren enthalten.
Aufgrund dieser Umstände ist der Release nun auch auf Februar angesetzt.

Vielen schon von anderen Games wie UT, UT2k3 ect .bekannt ist der IRC Reporter welcher Frags, Chatnachrichten und mehr direkt ins IRC überträgt. Selbigen gibt es auch nun für Unreal 2 XMP.

Zum für Unreal 2: Extended Multiplayer erscheinenden Community Bonus Pack wurde ein 60MB großer divx5-Trailer veröffentlicht. Er stellt die verschiedenen Maps und Mutatoren des Packs vor.

PC.IGN.com hat ein 2-seitiges Review zum kostenlosen Unreal 2: Extended MultiPlayer verfasst. Hier ein Auszug:quote:
Those willing to spend a bit more time with the game, though, will likely adjust to the pace and have a lot of fun. This does mean learning the maps, which can take a while, as well as getting a sense of what element (power, deploy points, artifacts) is most crucial at any given time. But a higher learning curve doesn't make this a bad game. It just sets the title apart from what players expect of the Unreal franchise. |
Insgesamt hat es das Addon auf stattliche 8 von 10 Punkten geschafft.

Von Christophe "Crokx" Cros gibt es 2 weitere Mutators. Zum einen Artifact Frenzy v1.00 und zum anderen Anti Lamer v0.30. Der Mutator Anti Lamer enthält auch den schon vorher veröffentlichten Anti Sniper Mutator.

Es ist noch gar nicht so lang her, da wurde ein sehr hochwertiges Community Bonus Pack für UT2003 veröffentlicht.
Dem versucht man nun auch in Sachen Unreal 2: Extended MultiPlayer nachzuahmen. Ein Community Bonus Pack (CBP), welches 4 bis 5 neue Maps enthält ist in der Mache und nähert sich seiner Fertigstellung (geplant: nächste Woche).
Erstellt wurden die Maps von bisherigen XMP-Betatestern.
Um die Vorfreude weiter zu steigern solltet ihr unbedingt auf der U2: XMP CBP-Site vorbeischauen.

Nach seinen vielen UT2003 Mutators hat Christophe "Crokx" Cros nun einen ersten Unreal 2 XMP Mutator veröffentlicht.Anti Sniper v1.00 ist der ideale Mutator für alle die Sniper nicht mögen!
