News  2 XGR Awards   lara 01.01.2003
text (short)
Auch XGR hat nun Best Of The Year 2002 Awards vergeben. Und auch hier hat Splinter Cell von den Unreal Engine Games mit Awards in den Kategorien Console Title Of The Year und sogar Game Of The Year die meisten Awards bekommen.

Why is Splinter Cell XGR's First Game Of The Year? I think a better question would be, why wouldn't it be? Incredible graphics like we have yet to see in a console (and rivaling some PC games), excellent storyline, amazing gadgets at your disposal, a new approach to the stealth genre (for those screaming MGS-clone I don't think you have really played it), a level of addictiveness that I haven't felt since HALO, a musical score that rivals HALO, special moves that are as much fun to watch as they are to execute, and through the upcoming downloadable content it will continue. I am just waiting for the day of a co-op Splinter Cell (hear that Xavier?) so I can talk with my buddies over Xbox Live and talk down the enemy. There are a lot of games that were close to getting this - Battlefield 1942, Medal Of Honor (any of the games if you ask me), and Unreal Tournament 2003 - but in the end the game that kept me up at night, the game that kept me wanting more, the game that had more "Holy S($*!" moments than any other game this year has to be Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for Xbox from Ubi Soft.
