Die ersten 3 Previews zur Playstation 2-Version von Rainbow Six 3 sind verfügbar. Ihr findet sie auf 1Up.com, PS2.IGN.com und GameSpot.com.
Hier ein Auszug vom allerersten Preview (1Up.com):quote:
Along with that, the level designs are being restructured so objects will not always be where you expect them, and you will have to find different ways through the levels if you are accustomed to the other versions of the game. Additionally, the developers are adding more scripted events in the levels to make them feel more lifelike. In one scene, we saw a helicopter take off right as the level began -- presumably the helicopter that dropped you off in that spot. Little touches like this should help make the single-player game more exciting. |

Das Addon zu Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, Athena Sword, welches schon so oft verschoben wurde, wird, richtig geraten, mal wieder verschoben.
Der neue Termin laut UbiSoft Release-Liste ist der 22. Januar 2004, also eine Woche später als bisher geplant.

Wie angekündigt gibt es nun den neuen Patch zu Ravenshield.

Es wurden einige Probleme in Verbindung der ?direkten Feueranimation? beseitigt. Darunter ein Problem mit der Animation für den 3-Schuss-Feuerstoß, der nicht genau das Abfeuern von drei Schüssen darstellte und dem Sound für das leere Schrotgewehr beim Nachladen, der bislang fehlte. |

Der Titel sagt schon alles und deshalb red' ich nicht lang um den heißen Brei  . Das Review gibts bei GameSpy und Rainbow Six 3 hat mit tollen 4 von 5 Sternen abgechnitten:quote:
The simplicity of Six 3's redesign extends into the method by which orders are issued to your team: simply look at the object or area where you want the team to go, and press the A button. (You can also issue verbal commands with the Headset Communicator, but it's quicker and easier to use the control pad.) There are only about a dozen actions your team can take, though some of them can be delayed until you issue a "Zulu Go-Code." This allows you to storm into a room from two directions at once, which is the most (and arguably the only) strategic aspect of the gameplay. |

Auch der nahe Verwandte von Rainbow Six:Raven Shield, Rainbow Six 3 für die XBox wurde nun getestet. Insgesamt waren die Mannen von Worthplaying.com ziemlich vom Spiel angetan, wie hieraus hervorgeht:quote:
Over all Rainbow Six 3 has both a good, deep single player campaign and a strong online multiplayer component. There?s really not much at all to fault in this game, besides some graphic and AI issues, everything else is great. It does not exactly do anything new or ground breaking that we have not seen before, but what it does do it does very well and is very polished. For fans of Ghost Recon this is a must buy, same can be said for anyone who likes realistic team based first person shooters. Every one else should take a long hard look at this title and give it at least a rent. |
Insgesamt wurde dem Spiel eine Traumwertung von 9.0 von 10 Punkten erteilt.

Ähem... ihr ahnt es schon, Athena Sword wird es dieses Jahr nicht mehr in die Händlerregale schaffen. Aus dem Termin am 4. Dezember wird nichts, neuer Termin ist der 15. Januar 2004.

Das Hin und Her um den Releasetermin vom Rainbow Six: Raven Shield - Addon Athena Sword nimmt kein Ende.
Nun wurde der Release noch einmal um ein paar Tage auf den 4. Dezember (diesen Jahres  ) verschoben.
Bisher ging man vom 27. November aus.

Das mehrfach verschobene Addon für Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, Athena Sword wurde ein weiteres mal verschoben.
Aktuell geht man von einem Release Anfang 2004 aus. Bis vor kurzem war noch eine Veröffentlichung Mitte November angepeilt.

Wie Ubi Soft nun bekannt gabt hat nun auch die XBox Version von Rainbox Six 3 GOLD Status erreicht. Und ab Mitte November soll sie dann auch im Handel erhältlich sein.
