UnrealEngine  Tim Sweeney im Interview bei Unreal Ops   maverick 01.08.2003
text (short)
Zum 2.ten Geburtstag gibt es bei Unreal Ops ein Interview mit Tim Sweeney (seineszeichens Vater der "Unreal Engine":

quote:
Looking at the difference between Unreal 1 and UT2004 is both amazing and intriguing. By this I mean the colors and textures in Unreal 1 were well 'Unreal'. To see the detail possible in UT2004 is almost 'real'. How do you plan to top what you have now?

All of the current games will look pretty silly in a few years with the next generation. But as an overall artistic direction, I actually prefer the "over-enhanced reality" style of the original Unreal Tournament to the more conventional realism of UT2003. When it comes to lighting hue, contrast, shadows, and settings, some tasteful exaggeration works well, especially in a sci fi / fantasy setting.
