Allgemein  UT 2003 Mac Version   lara 22.09.2002
text (short)
Mark Rein hat sich im offiziellen Forum, nun mal zur Mac Version geäussert. Es wird leider keinen Editor(da es kein VC++ für den Mac gibt)geben. Weiteres unter SHOW MORE. Und auch die Demo und weitere Infos werden wohl noch einige Wochen auf sich warten lassen.

quote:
> Will you port the editor? (PLEASE give this a yes!)

No, the editor is written in Visual C++ and there's no VC++ for the Macintosh.

> How many people are working on it?

One guy, Ryan C. Gordon is doing the Linux port.

> Why don't you oursource the port?

Technically we did because Ryan is a contractor but he works very closely with the team and reports regularly to me on the project so I consider it to be just like an in-house job.

> Are the rumors that Epic consists of unix-geeks true?

There are few people in the company who speek Unix and are geeks (most of us are) but I wouldn't classify them as Unix geeks.

> Will it actually run on any available mac?

We do not know what the system specs will be on Macintosh but we know it will only run on OS X and I suspect that the minimum recommended video card will be a GeForce or Radeon card.

> Please answer, mac users need to know more about the best game in the universe

Ryan is just getting started on it now so we'll know more about it in a few weeks. We'll do the demo on Macintosh so people will be able to try it out and give us bug reports and feedback on performance issues if there are any.
