Für alle, die den Release von Unreal 2 nicht mehr erwarten können, gibt es jetzt schon die Unreal 2 Anleitung im Netz!
Die kurze Anleitung enthält aber nicht alle Waffen und Items, trotzdem sollte es den ersten Hunger stillen können.

Jetzt hat auch HomelanFed ein Interview mit einigen Mitarbeitern von Digital Extremes geführt. Hier ein kleiner Auszug:

 Gamespy bietet seit heute sage und schreibe 108 neue Unreal 2 Bilder an.
Ein netter kleiner Zeitvertreib, bis das Spiel bei uns erscheint.
Update:
Jetzt hat Gamespy auch noch ein Review zum Spiel da, allerdings schneidet Unreal 2 mit gerade einmal 76 % schlecht ab.
Eure Meinung ist in den Comments gefragt!

Kurz vor dem Deutschlandrelease am 7. Februar ist ein neues Chatlog auf Planetunreal.com erschienen. Hier ein Auszug:

Jetzt hat sich auch Glen Dalhgren von Legend Entertainment im Infogrames.com Unreal 2 Forum zu Wort gemeldet zum Thema Demo zu Wort gemeldet:

What Headup said wasn't entirely true, although it's easy to understand how he came to this conclusion. While Legend was working on Unreal II, there was absolutely no time to produce a demo, and whenever asked, we would say, "There are no current plans to produce one, but you never know."
Now that Unreal II has gone gold, we've been exploring the possibility with Infogrames and Epic, which is something that Headup wasn?t aware of. FWIW, everyone involved?including Legend?is very conscious of the benefits of a demo, and we?d all love to do it. I hope to have more news soon.
Also FWIW, don?t read anything into Headup?s post concerning Legend?s dedication to supporting Unreal 2. Even while Legend transitions onto other projects, Unreal 2 is still our top priority.
Only a few more days now until the game is on shelves. I?m really looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks about the game. |

Da ich grad in Info sitze und nix zutun habe, poste ich mal News  .
Auf WorthPlaying.com findet ihr ein 220mb großes Unreal 2 Video (divx), welches ca. 10 Minuten lang ist.

 Und leider gibt es noch eine schlechte Unreal 2 Nachricht. Wie headup
(Unreal Brand Manager) im Infogrames.com Unreal 2 Forum mitteilte wird es keine Demo geben. Dazu waere einfach keine Zeit mehr gewesen (siehe auch SHOW MORE).

Nach den vielen Gerüchten um die deutsche Version von Unreal 2 hat sich nun auch Matthias Worch, leitender Unreal 2 Leveldesigner, mit folgendem Statement im USF.de Forum zu Wort gemeldet:

Sorry, Umschalten geht leider nicht. Die europaeische Version mit Spanisch, Italienisch und Franzoesisch kommt auf 3CDs (3. CD fuer die 3 Sprachen). Englisch ist da nicht bei.
Und da Deutschland wegen Inzizierungsgefahr wieder eine Extrawurst gebraten bekommt gibts eine eigene Version fuer .de mit den ueblichen Anpassungen und nur mit deutscher Sprachausgabe. Die passt dafuer aber immerhin wieder auf 2CDs. |
Und wie er im weiteren Verlauf des Thread mitteilte wird ein Ändern auf keinen Fall so einfach wie bisher bei UT2k3 sein.Also eine volle Bestätigung der Gerüchte! Was haltet ihr davon?(-->comments)

Laut einigen namenhaften Online Magazinen soll die in Deutschland erscheinende Version des kommenden Shooterkrachers Unreal2: The Awakening zensiert werden. Wie diese Zensur letztendlich aussehen wird, ist noch unbekannt. Bekannt ist, dass diese Zensuren nicht wieder durch etwaige Manipulationen an Dateien ( *.ini - Files ect. ) rückgängig gemacht werden kann.

GameSpy ernennt derzeit die Most wanted Games 2003. Nachdem bereits die UnrealEngine-Spiele Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield (Platz 11) und Splinter Cell (Platz 10) gepriesen wurden, ist jetzt Unreal 2: The Awakening mit Platz 7 an der Reihe:

 Von der Discworld Mod gibt es jetzt erste "im Spiel" Screenshots zu sehen. Diese zeigen ein kleines Betalevel, welches sehr schräg aussieht.
Außerdem wurden auch noch einige Konzeptzeichnungen vorgestellt. Alle Fans dieser Saga sollten mal einen Blick vorbeiwerfen.

Da Unreal 2 nun bald in den Regalen steht, kommen wir langsam in unseren heiße Vorbereitungsphase. Letzte Organisatorische Dinge, Pläne, Termine, etc. werden erledigt und wir können nun auch unsere Teamzusammenstellung machen.
Hierzu suchen wir noch tatkräftige Unterstützung in allen Sektionen. Auf unserer JOB-Page findet Ihr nähere Infos.
