TO:AoT  Neues von TO 3.3 !   schwenker 28.09.2002
text (short)

text (long)
"Like i promised i'm keeping you up to date with what's hapening behind the scenes.

Infogrames is ready to approve 3.3.0 patch meaning we can release right now.

But don't hold your breath.

As explained in another post, in 3.3.0 i changed the flashbang settings, making it so you could avoid being flashed when turning away from it.
On a second thought, and after testing, we decided it was too strong and made flashbangs useless.
Not counting that you could avoid being flashed when someone was standing in between, or when you were standing on it.

We felt it would be a major source of complaining, so we changed that in a 3.3.1 patch.

Unfortunatly in that version the nightvision was broken. I won't go into details, but this is because of the protection system.

We've spent so much time on the patch, and everyone waited so much, we decided to submit another version (3.3.2) so we can release a patch with what we believe being good flashbang settings. It means we'll have to wait a few more days until Infogrames reviews it fully, to make sure there are no show stoppers.

In fact we would like the game to be as good as possible online, since we can't release patches every 2 weeks to fixes and tweak things.

So it's very unlikely that the patch will be released this week-end, we're shooting at something between tuesday and friday.

When the date gets official we'll be making an accouncement with lots of pictures and of course i'll keep you updated on what's going on here."
