Mit 2 Awards und 4 weiteren Nominierungen war Splinter Cell das erfogreichste der Unreal Engine Games bei den Gamespot Best Of 2002 Awards. Awards gab es in den Kategorien Best Graphics (Technical) on Xbox und Best Action Adventure Game on Xbox . Dazu kamen noch die Nominierungen in den Kategorien: Best Sound on Xbox, Best Graphics (Artistic) on Xbox, Best Shooter on Xbox und Game of the Year on Xbox.
